The application window to apply for a new gTLD closes today, April 20th, at 23:59 UTC. Due to technical difficulties with the TAS application system, the deadline for submitting an application, originally on April 12th, was extended.

Our office will be closed on April 19th, 2012, due to a public holiday in Iceland.

Recently, we had the pleasure of receiving Rainer Viktor from Vossius & Partner in Germany, one of the largest IP firms in Europe and the third largest in Germany. The firm celebrated its 50th anniversary last year and employs about 220 people in total, both patent attorneys and technical experts, along with attorneys at law. As a result, Vossius & Partner is a one-stop firm, which is advantageous for any parties looking for a comprehensive resolution of any IP-related matters they might have.

Due to a technical fault in the TAS application system, detected recently, ICANN has decided to extend the application window for the new gTLDs until April 20th, at 23:59 UTC, thus making up for time lost when the TAS-system was down for maintainance.
